Vilafonte was honored today to be presented as a case study at the University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business. In a world first, the business school has formed a partnership with the University of Adelaide to form the most powerful and dynamic community for the development of wine business and wine makreting in the world. We were forunate to be invited by Dr Johan Bruwer, certainly the world leader in the theory of wine marketing to present the Vilafonte story to a group of prestigious students from a wide spectrum of backgrounds. Vilafonté nominated as Winery of the Year!!!
We are happy to announce that Vilafonté has been nominated for ‘New World Winery of the Year 2005’ by Wine Enthusiast Magazine in the USA. Actually, we can't believe that we have been nominated amongst such illustrious company ... but hey, we'll take it!
We are proud to have been nominated as one of the 5 finalists alongside such great names as Jim Barry & Clarendon Hills from Australia and Osyoos Larose in Canada. We are delighted that we are one of TWO South African wineries nominated with Vergelegen completing the 5 nominations.
Also in a peculiar double whammy, well done to Bartholomew Broadbent and his Team at Broadbent Selections (our partner!) for being nominated as US Importer of the Year 2005. You deserve it guys!

Enormous German accolade!!!!
Wow! Vilafonté Series C and Series M have both been awarded 5 stars in the influential German wine magazine Selection. Out of more than 40 wines nominated as 'The best wines from South Africa', only 3 wines received 5 stars and two of them were the M & C Series 2003 from our vineyard. Congratulations also to Kevin Arnold for getting 5 stars for his Shiraz!! This is an enormous accolade and we are very poud of it.
